Ron Burgundy Redux? Calling Gary Warner!

Last night on Conan, Will Farrell announced the return of Ron Burgundy, the highlarious anchorman from the movie ‘Anchorman’.  If he’s going to gear up for another go-round as R.B., he better brush up on our famous local ex-anchorman who rocked the Ron Burgundy ‘stache first!

Gary Warner is a local legend in the media.  He was with KVIA for 34 years, and I was lucky enough to work with him for a little over a year.  It has been whispered that Gary’s ‘stache was the template for Will Farrell’s Ron Burgundy look.  Here are a couple of clips of both guys and their ‘stache’s.  What do you think?  Is Will paying his respects to Gary Warner’s perfectly groomed ‘stache?
