American physicist and Nasa Astronaut Sally Ride passed away yesterday from pancreatic cancer at the age of 61. She will always be remembered as not only the "First" woman in space, but also the youngest american to enter space at the age of 32. Don't say you heard it from me, but did you know that Sally Ride became an astronaut simply by answering a newspaper ad in the "Jobs" section that read, "Nasa is seeking applicants for their space program"..!! Sally Ride is also featured in Billy Joel's 1989 #1 song, "We Didn't Start The Fire".
