A months-long shut down of the Resler exit ramp from I-10 Westbound is set to begin the night of Tuesday, Jan. 29 TxDot officials warn.

The exit ramp will remain closed for approximately three months, but it could be completed in a shorter amount of time. Or it may take longer. "Exact dates cannot be provided. Work activities are subject to delays," officials explained in a press release.

The closure of the Resler westbound exit ramp is necessary so crews can finish building the westbound collector-distributor lanes and connect the new Resler exit ramp to the new CD lanes.

The artistic rendering of the final design, shown below, indicates the section of CD lanes (in red) that needs to be built, and provides a visual as for why it requires the closing of the Resler exit ramp for as long as it may take.

Once completed, motorists access to the new Resler exit ramp will be from the CD lanes, not from I-10.
