Report Names New Mexico The 4th Most Dangerous State

New Mexico may be dubbed the "Land of Enchantment" but according to a recent study, it isn't a very safe place to live. 

I have lived in New Mexico my whole life and haven't come across any red flags yet, but the folks over at Wall Street 24/7 beg to differ.

In a recent study done by the website, New Mexico ranked in the top five most dangerous states. Not only did it make it into the top five, it came in at number 4. It came in worse than New york, California and Illinois.

The study was based off the FBI's 2014 violent crime statistics. The stats are based off murders, assaults and sexual assaults. Many New Mexicans are not buying into the study stating they feel safe in their hometowns and have yet to see a violent crime.
