Prescription Drug Take Back In Las Cruces This Saturday
Las Cruces Police alongside the Unified Prevention "Up!" Coalition are hosting a drug take back event this weekend. no questions asked.
Prescription drug abuse is a huge issue that many don’t even notice every day. Drug overdose is the leading cause of injury death in the State of New Mexico and education is the first step in prevention.
The prescription drug take-back will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Walmart store at 571 Walton Blvd. Las Cruces residents are encouraged to drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs either in pill or patch forms. Unfortunately, the DEA cannot accept liquids or needles during the event. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
