Portion of I-10 in West El Paso Will Close This Sunday

Update 3/17/2016: Closure Rescheduled for Saturday, March 19

Heads up, fellow commuters; El Paso Electric will be back at it again with the freeway closures this weekend. EPE will be adding and rewiring transmission structures this Sunday, and in order to do that they'll need to shut down a portion of I-10 on both sides.

Closed to traffic:

• I-10 east and west from Executive Center to Sunland Park Drive

• Paisano from Executive to Sunland Park Drive, and Crockett Street from Sunland Park Drive to Paisano

When:

3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016

Here are the detours you will need to take:

• Eastbound traffic must exit Sunland Park Drive then turn left on Sunland Park and turn right onto Mesa. Take Mesa all the way to Downtown or turn right on Executive to jump back onto I-10.

• Westbound traffic must exit Executive Center then turn right on Mesa. Take Mesa to Sunland Park Drive and turn left to get back onto I-10.
