The El Paso Children's Hospital and UMC Foundation were doing a lot of damage control yesterday after it was revealed that a porn star would be the headliner at a fundraiser for Children's Hospital. Yesterday, the porn star fired back at the harrumphers.

Jessie Andrews is described as an award-winning porn star, and it was that part of her career that got her canned from the Children's fundraiser. Andrews is an up-and-coming DJ, but her adult film star status didn't sit well with officials at Children's and the UMC Foundation. They have removed her from their social media, but the show will go on.

Veterans Entertainment, who booked Andrews for the event, says they will hold the fundraiser, Andrews will perform, but the money raised at the event will go to another charity to be named later, not Children's. Andrews took to Twitter with a few choice words for the "haters" in El Paso.

We're always talking about how employers check you out on social media, and the things that you post could cost you a job. I don't think this is any different. If you do something online, or in this case, on video, that is outside the norm, you might encounter problems later on in your professional life. Jessie should take this as a life lesson and take her own advice to 'get real'. Just as she can express herself in various ways, Children's and the UMC Foundation can express their displeasure at being associated with her.
