Police Need Help Locating Missing NM Elderly Man

Las Cruces Police are searching for missing 86-year-old, David Tellez Jr. who went missing over the weekend.

On Sunday, August 6, 2017 around 2 p.m., David Tellez Jr. was last seen leaving his home in a 2004 Silver Toyota RAV4. Tellez who lives on the 3300 block of Blue Ridge Lane suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia and is thought to have traveled to El Paso since he used to live in the Sun City before moving to Las Cruces. His family is deeply concerned especially because of his mental health and age.

David Tellez Jr. Details:

• He suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s
• Tellez is 5-feet tall and weighs approximately 144 pounds
• He was last seen wearing a white shirt and brown khaki pants
• Tellez lost the use of his right eye and is hard of hearing
• Last seen at about 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, at his Las Cruces home on the 3300 block of Blue Ridge Lane
• Tellez left the residence driving his silver 2004 Toyota RAV4 with Texas license plate No. 7BWGT
