The original Star Wars trilogy will be showcased at the El Paso Community Foundation’s Plaza Classic Film Festival this summer.

The Plaza Classic Film Festival is the world’s largest classic film festival and it is set for August 4-14, 2016 in downtown El Paso. This year's event will bring the special screening of the original Star Wars trilogy with showings of Star Wars (1977), officially titled Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and the sequels Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983).

This will be the first time that all three Star Wars titles will be shown at the Plaza Classic Film Festival, which had two sell-out shows of the first Star Wars movie in 2009.

Tickets for the Star Wars movies will go on sale in early July along with the rest of this year’s 90-movie Plaza Classic Movie lineup. Festival Passes, which include admission to all ticketed movies, an express admission lane and access to special events are available now for $200 at plazaclassic.com or by calling 915-533-4020.
