Monday a kid in Florida was forced to stand on the corner of a busy intersection holding a sign letting passersby know that he failed three courses because he's a class clown. Yesterday a 13-year-old girl in New Orleans made the news after she was caught shoplifting a shirt about a week ago, and her mother punished her by making her wear a neon green shirt that reads, "Hide your money. Hide your clothes. Hide everything. 'Cuz I'm a thief'" every time she leaves the house.

The seventh-grader's mother told CNN she’s publicly humiliating her daughter because she doesn't "want to ever go back and have to pick up my child from jail."

JUST ASKING: Did your parents ever deliberately embarrass you as a punishment? What did you do, and how did they embarrass you? Parents, have you ever deliberately humiliated your kids to get a point across? What did you do? What are your thoughts in general on publicly humiliating your child to get your point across?
