Last week, UTEP made a big splash when they announced that beer sales would made their debut at the Homecoming game against Tulane.  So did beer sales give UTEP a pleasant buzz, or a massive hangover?

UTEP officials say about 23 thousand fans showed up to the Sun Bowl to watch the Miners beat the Green Wave, 24-20.  Darren and I took our granddaughter to check out her very first Miner football game, and she had a ball.

We didn't partake, but about 3,100 people did if you average one beer a game at 9 bucks a beer.  We saw a bunch of people around us having a couple of cold ones, and there didn't seem to be a problem.

UTEP Athletic Director, Bob Stull, told the El Paso Times that the university got a lot of positive feedback, and no official complaints.  He said that there was even some talk about a 'family friendly', no alcohol zone, but because there were no complaints, there probably won't be any need for it.

So, now that a game has come and gone with beer sales at UTEP, do you think it was a good idea, or something that was fine once, but no more?
