It is expected that the weather is going to take another nasty turn tomorrow, and that has city officials taking precautions to keep streets clean and safe.

The winds are forecasted to hit 50 mph gusts with blowing dust and sand, and city officials are putting the word out that there will be no recycling pick up if they hit 40mph.  You can read the entire press release here.

If you've ever had to dodge trash or recycling containers that have been blown into the street while driving in addition to dealing with reduced visibility because of reduced dust and sand, you know this is a smart move on the city.

We'll be keeping an eye on the situation, and we'll update you if the city does decide to pull the plug on recycling on Thursday.
