New Mexico Man Sets His Apartment on Fire to Escape Sound of Neighbors Sexy Time

A 36-year-old Albuquerque man torched his apartment in an effort to get away from the sound of his upstairs neighbors having sex.

According to the complaint filed by police, Reuben Cook “stated that he heard people having sex upstairs and making a lot of noise.”

While most people would either turn up the volume on their television or bang on the ceiling and yell for them to keep it down, Cook’s plan to get away from the sex noises was to set his place on fire, get arrested, and spend the night in jail.

The Albuquerque Journal reports damage to the apartment was minor, and that no one was hurt. Cook was arrested for arson.

So, hey, mission accomplished.
