Naked New Mexico Woman Leads Authorities on High Speed Chase

A New Mexico woman is facing charges after leading authorities on a high-speed chase while nude.

Barbara Arellano was arrested late Saturday after reports were called in that a driver was throwing items out of a vehicle on I-25 near northern New Mexico. When approached by deputies, the 51-year-old Arellano did not pull over then led them on a chase that hit speeds over 100 mph.

The chase ended when Arellano crashed her Toyota Rav-4 into a pickup and exited her vehicle naked. She did try to flee authorities but was caught and arrested. Arellano faces a number of charges, including drunken driving.
