Remember when Star Wars was awesome, and then it sucked, and then it was awesome again?

Good news, one of the awesome Star Wars movies will be shown outdoors on the giant high-definition scoreboard at Southwest University Park.

City Representative Emma Acosta is the Padawan sponsoring the free screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Saturday, October 22. The special movie night is being dubbed "Movies under the Stars Make up Movie Night."

The movie was originally scheduled as part of the Welcome Home El Paso Vietnam Veterans celebration in August, but bad weather forced its cancellation.

So dust off your light saber, gas up your Millennium Falcon and ready your nerdy self to make your way downtown because as Yoda would say, "Do. Or do not. There is no try."
