UPDATE: "Last Friday Night" maintains #2 rank on the Hot 100.

KATY PERRY will have to wait until next week to try and tie MICHAEL JACKSON for a prestigious chart honor. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" was expected to hit number one on the Hot 100 this week, which would have given Perry five number-ones from her "Teenage Dream" album -- a feat only Jacko has managed before. He did it with 1987's "Bad", which spawned the chart-toppers "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana."

Katy's "Teenage Dream" just became the first album in the almost 19-year history of Billboard's Pop Songs chart to generate five No. 1s, as "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" ascended to the top of the Pop charts earlier this week. But #1 on the Hot 100 chart will have to wait as LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" will spend it's fifth week at the top according to Billboard.com.

This past May, Katy became the first artist ever to spend an ENTIRE YEAR in the Top 10, surpassing previous record-holder Ace of Base.
