UTEP’s biggest party of the year has a date.

Minerpalooza 2017 will take place on Friday, September 1, on the University of Texas at El Paso campus, according to the Minerpalooza Facebook.

Although the entertainment lineup has not been revealed, UTEP’s annual welcome back to school bash typically includes a national recording artist, local bands, and appearances by Paydirt Pete, the UTEP football team, cheer squads, and the UTEP band.

Activities for the kids, such as games, inflatable’s and face-painting are usually part of the mix too. Adding to the party-like atmosphere again this year will be a beer and wine garden, as well as food trucks and food booths.

Admission to Minerpalooza is always free and open to the entire community.
