MILITARY MONDAYS: SSG Luis Hernandez Greets Us From Afghanistan!

Every week, I'm honored to bring a soldier's story to our listeners with Military Mondays, and this week, I'm especially pleased to be able to introduce you to SSG Luis Hernandez.  He sent us a postcard from Afghanistan!

I was at the station on Sunday afternoon to get a jump on a couple of things coming up this week, and before I left, I checked my mailbox.  Usually, it's about as full as Charlie Brown's mailbox on Valentine's Day, but instead of empty space, I saw this:

When I turned it over and read it, I started crying.  First, SSG Hernandez was sweet enough to say he missed listening to me and Mike in the morning, but then... well, read the last line and get ready with the hankies:

How amazing is that?  The man is fighting for our country and he's blessing us?!!!

I have to say, that is the most touching thing I've ever seen, and I really want to thank SSG Hernandez for his kind words.  You are in our thoughts and prayers, and please let us know when you get back home!
