Military Dad Surprises His Children in Tearful Reunion at Clint Elementary School

What students thought was an assembly featuring a member of the military who was also a former student was actually a surprise reunion for two schoolchildren and their father, whom they had not seen in 10 months.

The heartwarming reunion between Seaman Juan Miguel Portillo and his children took place Friday afternoon at Surratt Elementary in Clint. According to KFOX 14, the schoolyard surprise was arranged by Portillo’s father-in-law who wanted more than just a simple homecoming for his grand kids.
