REAL LIFE "WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S": A couple of Denver dudes went to great lengths to re-enact a Hollywood classic by driving from bar to bar with a dead pal in tow, just like in “Weekend at Bernie's”. Robert Jeffrey Young and Mark Rubinson were charged with abusing a corpse and identity theft after hitting a handful of hotspots with Jeffrey Jarrett, who'd been dead for an undetermined amount of time.

Young says he found Jarrett dead at his home and couldn't decide what to do, so he opted for calling Rubinson, and together they loaded the corpse into a car and head out to get loaded -- on Jarrett's tab, no less. They then went to an ATM with the dead man's bank card, withdrew $400 in cash to fund a strip club visit and then grabbed a bite to eat, leaving Jeffrey’s corpse in the backseat the whole time.

After the club shut down and the money ran out, they flagged down a cop and told him Jeffrey, quote, "MIGHT be dead." Watch the news video ...
