Mike’s the Stupid News: Sherriff Fired for Making Inmates Dance to Usher

A deputy at an Ohio jail was fired after word got out he demanded that inmates who wanted access to prison facilities amuse him first, by dancing to one of his favorite songs. Who is this guy, Yosemite Sam? “Dance, ya varmit!” Bang. Bang.

Summit County Sheriff Department

Dominic Martucci was fired for staging his own version of “So You Think You Can Dance” at the lockup, by slapping Usher’s “Yeah!” on the sound system and putting them through their paces.

One prisoner says he was forced to do the robot in order to use a phone when informed about the death of his mother.

Martucci acknowledged “making a mistake,” but said he was only trying to relieve tension in the facility.
