Professor's Facebook Threat Leads to Discovery of Marijuana Operation

Matthew Rouch is a communications professor at Northwest Missouri State University, and evidently the one guy who didn't get the message that in this day and age you can't go on social media and joke about shooting up a school.

Last week, Rouch posted on Facebook about how he was optimistic about the new school year, but added, quote, "by October, I'll be wanting to get up to the top of the bell tower with a high powered rifle with a good scope, and probably a gatling gun."

Of course, he insisted it was just a joke, but the cops looked into him anyway. A subsequent search of his home didn't turn up any weapons but they did find an "elaborate [marijuana] growing operation." Rouch wasn't arrested for the "joke" about shooting up the school, however he was arrested on charges of producing and possessing marijuana.
