Mike’s The Stupid News: Professor Wins Award for Fart Research

PULL MY FINGER: Trevor Blank, a professor at Penn State University recently won the prestigious W.W. Newell Prize for his groundbreaking research … on farting.

Among Professor Blank’s tooting trivia discoveries: men fart 14 to 15 times a day, while women – most of which will tell you they don’t do such things - do it eight to nine times.

 He also discovered that people have been arrested for breaking wind "deliberately and maliciously", and that the book Walter the Farting Dog was banned in some school libraries. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, when it comes to him and flatulence … Quote, “I’ve always been a practitioner.”
