A man called 911 about a missing crowbar and ended up confessing to using the crowbar in two Florida home invasions! Nathaniel Lee Smith dropped the crowbar at one of his crime scenes after the homeowner fended him off by spraying -- get this -- window cleaner at him. He took off empty-handed, and later called 911 claiming someone had broken into his home and stolen his stuff.

Among the missing stuff? A crowbar and a “black skully.” Yup, that would be the skullcap matching the one used during the two robberies. When the cops later informed him that they were able to find all the items he’d described at the crime scene where he'd dropped them earlier that day, Smith admitted to making a false report. He now faces charges of burglary and kidnapping.
