"Pride (In the Name of Love)", U2's 1984 Top 10 hit, was written by Bono after he read a book about the life of MLK and a biography of Malcolm X. The books not only made Bono ponder the different sides of the civil rights campaigns, but  about those throughout history who were killed for preaching equality and non-violence -- such as MLK.

The mix below contains excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I Have a Dream" speech. Happy King Day!
