Mike and Tricia’s Annual Pink Ribbon Week Set for Monday, October 1 – Locations Announced

Hi, it’s Mike and Tricia. For the past 12 years, we’ve dedicated the first full week in October to furthering the awareness of breast cancer — its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. And this year is no exception. Mike and Tricia’s annual Pink Ribbon Week campaign is set to roll starting Monday, October 1.
Look for 93.1 KISS-FM and the El Paso chapter of Koman for the Cure at a different location every morning, as we’ll be handing out pink ribbons in honor of those who have fought or are now fighting the battle against breast cancer, along with important information on breast health, and self examination shower cards.
While a lot of us are aware of the terrifying and sometimes devastating disease, many forget to take the steps to detect it in its early stages. That’s what Mike and Tricia’s Annual Pink Ribbon Week is all about — getting the word out, and encouraging as many of our listeners as possible about early detection.
So make it a point to stop by one of the following locations between 7 and 9 a.m.:
Monday October 1 – Wal Mart parking lot, Dyer & Fred Wilson
Tuesday October 2 – Wal Mart Parking lot, Joe Battle
Wednesday October 3 – Walgreens parking lot, Geronimo and I-10 West
Thursday October 4 – Big Lots parking lot, Mesa and Resler
Friday October 5 – Bassett Place parking lot, near the electronic sign
