El Paso TV Anchor’s Major Fail – Confuses ‘NCAA’ with ‘NAACP’

The New Mexico State men’s and women’s basketball teams earned spots in the NCAA Tournament over the weekend, which is what I’m pretty sure KFOX 14 weekend anchor Meghan Lopez meant to say.

Instead Lopez slipped up and referred to it as the “N-double A-C-P” tournament. NAACP is the acronym for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, which is the African-American civil rights organization. Wah waah waaah waaah.
