Meet the El Paso Zoo’s Newest Baby

It’s a girl and a first for the El Paso Zoo. The zoo’s resident orangutan’s, Ibu and Butch, didn’t just give birth to the newest zoo baby, the adorable newborn is also the first Sumatran orangutan born at the zoo.

Keepers say Ibu and her as yet unnamed offspring are doing well and currently spending lots of snuggle time together behind the scenes. Zoo Officials are keeping an eye on them and in the next few weeks will have a better idea as to when the first-time mommy and baby can make their public debut.
