Any guy who wants to make a grand marriage proposal to his girlfriend can take her to a ballgame and have the scoreboard operator flash his declaration of eternal love for all to see.

So 28-year-old New Yorker Jeff Gurwin decided to go another route. When he was ready to propose to his girlfriend Caitlin, he commissioned the painting of a large street mural with the words, “Caitlin, will you marry me?”

Luckily, she said yes, because the mural was set to remain for the next month, no matter her response.
