Man on Texas 10 Most Wanted List Captured in New Mexico

A sexually violent predator on the Texas 10 most wanted list is now behind bars. 

Fernando Thompson of Austin, Texas was caught during a routine traffic stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday. He had removed his ankle bracelet and fled from a men's group home in Austin.

Thompson has several convictions for aggravated sexual assault of a child and sexual assault in the 1980's in Jefferson County. It was in 2005 that he was put into the civil commitment program at the group home. He is now behind bars.
