New Mexico Man Breaks into Mom’s House, Steals Her Homemade Posole

Do you love your mom's cooking? Probably not as much as this guy.

23 year-old Jonathan Ray from Albuquerque, NM was arrested last week for stealing posole from his mother's house.

Ray texted his mother saying he was hungry and that he wanted to go to her house to eat some of her posole. Per the police report, his mother, who was not home at the time, told him not to come. When she arrived at her North Albuquerque house, she said Ray ran in through the back door and bee-lined it to the fridge. He grabbed the pot of posole and beat a hasty retreat.

According to an officer in the criminal complaint filed in the Metropolitan court,

“[His mother] stated that she did want to press [a] burglary charge due to the fact that he did not have her permission to enter her home and take the pot of posole."

Ray was arrested and is facing a felony charge of residential burglary. I guess it's safe to say Christmas is going to be awkward at that house this year.
