Man Arrested In West El Paso For Allegedly Exposing Himself To A Jogger

A teenager was arrested after allegedly exposing himself to a female jogger.

A 23-year-old woman was running on Mesa and Festival when she says she noticed a black vehicle following her. She said that 19-year-old Israel Herrera Bernal called out to her and then exposed himself. Bernal was arrested on an indecent exposure charge, and he is facing an additional charge for resisting arrest.

El Paso Police say that if you are going to exercise outdoors, you should be sure that someone knows your route, when you leave, and when you are expected back. They also say to carry pepper spray and stay on well-lit, well-traveled paths because criminals are less likely to strike when there are people around.
