M.A.C. Cosmetics Coming out with Selena Inspired Collection

Selena lovers rejoice! M.A.C. cosmetics is launching a line inspired by the queen. 

M.A.C. cosmetics is one of the leading names in cosmetics for women and they often release lines inspired and created by influential women. So naturally, Selena is a perfect choice to release a make-up collection inspired by. When I think of Selena, I imagine full red lips, black liner and there better be bangs! The line will be released in 2016, and her family is ecstatic to finally announce this long awaited dream of Selenas. Her sister Suzette Quintanilla had this to say:

"I am so excited that M.A.C Cosmetics will be releasing a collection in honor of my sister Selena," says her older sister, Suzette Quintanilla. "Helping to create this collection brings me back to all those late night conversations on our tour bus when she spoke of having her own makeup line one day. If Selena were here she would be beyond ecstatic to have this happening. History is being made."

Her husband Chris Perez put this up on his Facebook page:

Yes, my friends, THIS is really happening. smile emoticon You guys (Selena's fans) have been asking about it and we have finally been given the "O.K." to announce it so...HERE GOES..."Like the legend herself, Selena Quintanilla's fans are an inspiration to us all for their love and enthusiasm. It's happening! We are excited to announce the MAC Selena Quintanilla collection, available in 2016. The collection will be a multi-product limited-edition color collection due out in the 2nd half of 2016." THANK YOU to all of her fans that helped to push this over the top. It could not have happened without your love, support, and persistance in keeping Selena's memory alive. She is going to have her own makeup line now (thanks to you)! ‪#‎MACSELENA‬

M.A.C.'s Senior Vice President James Gager was also excited to make this announcement. It seems that Selena's passionate fans had something to do with the collection finally becoming a reality:

"Selena's talent and beauty, inside and out have, have left a colourful, meaningful impact in the world, that has continued to grow over the last two decades. We have heard the passion and enthusiasm from her fans and wholeheartedly agree that her legacy embodies M.A.C.'s philosophy. We are so excited to announce a Selena inspired M.A.C collection debuting in the latter part of 2016."
