If you're looking for a fun and unique way to experience a handful of our city's watering holes, the Haunted Downtown Bar Crawl may be just the thing for you.

Lost El Paso Paranormal, El Paso's newest paranormal organization, is leading the three-hour bar crawl on Friday, May 18, 2018.

The supernatural adventure features spine-tingling tales of ghosts, ghouls and the creepy happenings that have occurred within the walls of some of downtown's haunted buildings. And, of course, some liquid courage while you get your spook on. It is a bar crawl, after all.

Lost El Paso Paranormal founder and costumed tour guide Heather Shade says guests will meet up at the Briar Patch, which is reportedly home to restless spirits as well. Employees have had many strange experiences in this location, according to Shade.

"In one instance, a young lady was seen entering the restroom, and when she had not emerged after a long while, employees went to check on her. They found the door was locked from the inside, and there was no response to their calls. The door had to be forcibly removed, only to reveal a totally empty restroom with no one inside."

Shadow figures, and motion detectors going off with no visible sign of what triggered them have also been reported.

Other drinking establishments you'll visit while seeking spirits of both the ghost and alcoholic variety include B-17 Bombers Oyster Pub, and Gray Dog, per the event post on the Lost El Paso Paranormal Facebook.

"Between each bar stop, our guests will explore different historic neighborhoods, and be be treated to tales of El Paso history & Downtown ghost stories, legends & folklore. Patrons will be offered drink specials at each location. And we will 'toast a ghost' at each bar stop."
