Looking for a New, Furry Family Member? Adopt One of These Shelter Pets

There are hundreds of adoptable pets waiting to find their fur-ever home right here in the Borderland, so we’re teaming up with local rescue groups to showcase a few special pets each week. After all, a house isn’t a home without a beloved pet, right? Check out each of the pets above and find out about adoption specials at each of the shelters below. 

Las Cruces Rescue Groups

ACTion Program For Animals

The ACTion Program For Animals in Dona Ana County have one low adoption for all dogs and cats of only $50. Plus, they have a senior discount of only $25 for seniors 60 and over. All of their animals come with vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter and routine testing. Most of their animals are in foster homes and are already potty trained! They are located at 800 W. Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces. They are open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from noon to 5, and Wednesday and Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm. They will also be at Petco this Sunday, the 22nd, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Animal Rescue League of El Paso

The Animal Rescue League of El Paso is located at 7256 La Junta in Canutillo, Texas. They are open 11:30 am – 5:30 pm everyday. You can find out more about their adoption process by visiting their website. You can also check out their Facebook page for more adoptable animals.

Humane Society of El Paso

The Humane Society of El Paso are celebrating March "Meow Madness" by offering their cats through Saturday for only $50! The Humane Society is located at 4991 Fred Wilson Avenue in El Paso, Texas. They are open Monday through Friday 11 am – 6 pm and Saturday and Sundays 11 am – 5 pm. All of their adoptable animals are spay/neutered/ micro-chipped, and have their age-appropriate vaccinations. You can find out more of the adoption process for the El Paso Humane Society here.
