I would like to nominate my co-worker, and friend who most of us at work lovingly refer to as simply "Lechuga". Lechuga is just one of those people who can always make you laugh, even when she isn't having the best of times. And she has had her share of rough times. Her most recent obstacle, and the reason why I'm writing this letter, is due to an injury which she sustained while on the job. While outside one day Lechuga fell and fractured her ankle. Because her job is so physical, she had to be out of work for an extended amount of time. Worker's comp. kicked in, but because of some technicality with the way her salary is calculated, Lechuga has been left without a paycheck until the end of January!
