I laughed, I cried, I sang along, and I loved every minute of it! You should go see this movie for many reasons but the main reason is

Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Jean Valjean. He grabs at your heart the moment he gets on the screen. His voice is absolutely stunning which we already knew, but the way he plays the kind, loving father to Fantine's (Anne Hathaway) daughter Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) you see him truly change from an angry, hateful ex convict to a man just trying to make a good life for his daughter. His performance in this movie is definitely award worthy, especially during the song "What have I done?" The remorse in his voice strikes a chord with the audience and you truly want him to become a better man for himself.

Anne Hathaway also steals the screen every time she is on it. She plays Fantine, the mother of the illegitimate child Cosette, who falls upon hard times and has to struggle to survive. Her rendition of "I dreamed a dream" is jaw droppingly good. You feel the pain behind every note and it brought tears to my eyes. If you want to hear her version of the song, listen below.

This entire movie is being held as Oscar worthy and I definitely agree with that statement. If there is any movie you should see this season it is this one.
