A Las Cruces woman is now facing fraud charges after she tried to buy over $900.00 in merchandise at a Las Cruces Walmart with stolen credit cards.

Jennifer Robinette was arrested Sunday when she and another man tried to ring up $943.. worth of merchandise at the Las Cruces Walmart on Walton. The cashier tried to verify the cardholder when she asked for an ID in which Robinette handed her a stolen ID with a picture that did not resemble her at all.

After the 2 credit cards had been declined they two left the store where police then arrested Robinette while the man fled on foot. Robinette faces two charges including two counts each of theft of a credit card and conspiracy as well as one count of fraudulent use of a credit card and identity theft. She is being held without bond at the Las Cruces County jail.
