Update: Missing Las Cruces Man Found Dead in Desert

UPDATE: The body of Jesse Garcia was found Monday morning in an undeveloped desert area of Las Cruces on the east mesa. The body, unidentifiable at the time was found by a hiker who called authorities. An investigation into the cause of Garcia's death is still undergoing.

Jesse Robert Garcia was last seen by relatives on the morning of April 17th, and has not been seen anywhere since. He was last known to be staying at a residence near the area of Cortez Drive and Davis Road on the city’s East Mesa area. No word on if this was with a relative or a friend he was staying with but he has not been seen since last at this residence.

Garcia is 5’8” tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes, he may have a goatee or beard and he has tattoos on both forearms. Anyone with information on Garcia is asked to call Las Cruces police at (575) 526-0795.
