A Las Cruces man who suffered a skull fracture while in police custody is threatening to sue the city, alleging officers used excessive force. But the officers in question claim Ross Flynn would not comply with their commands and that his injuries were a result of him resisting.

Surveillance camera footage of the incident, which happened December 23, 2014, shows Flynn in the cell. He appears agitated, and at one point kicks the cell door. Seconds later, officers identified as Danny Salcido and Richard Garcia enter the holding cell and slam him into the wall.

You can watch a clip of the surveillance video above, and a much longer version HERE. Details of what Flynn’s attorney asserts, what the officers wrote in their report, and why Flynn was arrested in the first place can be found in a Las Cruces Sun-News article HERE.
