Labor Day Closings in El Paso

City, county, and government offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

And don't look for the mailman either. Snow, rain, or heat may not keep them from "the swift completion of their appointed rounds," but a government holiday will.

Here's a look at the Labor Day closings around town:

--City, county offices
--City Hall
--County and federal courthouse
--Post office
--Libraries

--City senior and most recreation centers
--City health centers, Rawlings Pediatric Dental Clinic closed Monday and Tuesday
--WIC centers. Henderson, Sunrise, Westside, North Loop, Pershing, Fort Bliss and mobile centers also closed Tuesday.

Although the landfill and Citizen Collection sites will be closed on Monday, trash collections will  operate as usual. If your garbage and recyclables are collected on Mondays, that will not change because of Labor Day. Additionally, Sun Metro's regular (fixed-route) and LIFT (paratransit) services will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday.
