KTSM Anchor Adrienne Alvarez No Longer with Station

Longtime KTSM anchor/reporter Adrienne Alvarez is no longer employed by the television station. Alvarez posted a Facebook message Friday afternoon thanking her viewers, but did not offer an explanation for her sudden exit.

I reached out to both Adrienne and the station's general manager, Gary Sotir, for comment but as of this posting, I have not heard back from either.

Alvarez started as a reporter and weekend anchor at Newschannel 9 in 2007 and became the station’s main anchor in 2012. Prior to that, she was the evening anchor at then sister-station KDBC.

She made news herself in 2013 when she was arrested on suspicion of battery against a member of a household following an incident involving her husband.
