Joyful Dog Goes Bananas When Soldier Owner Returns Home

Dog is definitely (wo)man's best friend.

Just look at the pure joy from this 13-year-old golden retriever, Buddy, who is simply over the moon when her owner, Hannah Foraker, returned from basic training in the Army in Oklahoma over the holidays.

Buddy has arthritis and has lost the bulk of her hearing, but seeing Foraker injected her with an enthusiasm not seen in some time.

Foraker said her return home turned Buddy into a totally different dog. "She normally has trouble going up and down the stairs and takes shorter walks, but now that I was home she was so happy and active," she said. "She would get up and do her happy dance."
