Aside from being a singer, dancer, actress and ‘American Idol‘ judge, Jennifer Lopez is, first and foremost, a proud mama. To celebrate Mother’s Day and her role in the pregnancy flick ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting,’ J. Lo gave a revealing interview in Redbook, where she describes her own baby blues following the birth of twins Max and Emme.

While you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who’s not a fan of Lopez in some capacity (whether on her juggernaut TV show, in her movies or albums, or even as a Fly Girl back in the day on ‘In Living Color’), the ‘Dance Again’ singer admitted that after her twins were born, she thought they didn’t love her. “I remember after the babies were born, about seven to 10 days in, I was like, ‘What is going on with me?’” Lopez confessed (quotes via The Boombox). “I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn’t love me.”

“I actually remember picking up the book to try to see what was happening to me,” Lopez said. “And it said how you have this huge hormonal drop about seven to 10 days after you give birth. It’s called the ‘baby blues.’ But I just thought they didn’t like me!”

Thankfully, Lopez has moved past her baby blues and now is enjoying life with her twins, now three years old (well, except for when Max made a run for it at an airport). She still loves youngins, though — it may explain why people accuse her of robbing the cradle in her relationship with 25-year-old beau Casper Smart!
