It’s hard to believe that he’s gone. A gentle giant and an amazing thespian has passed away too early, James Gandolfini was only 51.

New details are emerging about what happened in the final moments of Gandolfini’s life.

According to the manager of the Italian hotel were Gandolfini and his family were staying, his teenage son called for help after discovering his father collapsed in a bathroom and was still alive when the ambulance arrived.

The devastating news shocked the world and celeb’s took to twitter to express their condolences:

Tony Sirico (Paulie Gualtieri): "He was one of my best friends in life. He helped me with my career and I'm going to miss him. He's part of my family."

Joseph R. Gannascoli (Vito Spatafore): "I will be forever indebted to Jimmy."
