Jack White of the White Stripes was supposed to play a concert on September 19 at the El Paso County Coliseum. He was supposed to, but he isn't going to because that concert has been cancelled.

A representative from the Coliseum said that all they know is that the concert was cancelled. The promoter did not give a specific reason for the cancellation.

The concert promoter, AIG, did issue the following statement:

"Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Jack White show on September 19 at El Paso County Coliseum has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase."

Ticketmaster has already pulled mention of the concert from its website. El Paso was the date on his tour between Las Vegas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. On White's official website the El Paso concert has been scrubbed from the lineup. Oddly, there don't seem to be any problems with any other dates.

Could it be that there was slow ticket sales and that's why they decided to cancel? Guess we'll never know, but if that is the reason, did anyone tell White that El Paso is a last-minute ticket buying town?
