While Sun Bowl officials haven't commented on this year's half time performer yet, a little bird told me it's going to be Lee Brice. "Um, who?" you're probably asking. Lee Brice! You know, Lee Brice? Yeah, me either. According to Wikipedia, Brice is "an American country music singer" whose "highest-charting single is "A Woman Like You", which reached No. 1 in April 2012. He also had Billboard's Top Country Song of 2010 with "Love Like Crazy", the song spent 56 weeks on the Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at No. 3 and setting a record for the longest run in the chart's history."

Okay well, he's no B.J. Thomas but I guess he'll do.

I checked the 'net to see if I could find any confirmation, because that's what all good journalists do -- or so I hear. I don't know, I'm neither good nor a journalist -- and both his personal website and Facebook page, as well as some other legitimate looking website have him listed as performing at "Sun Bowl Stadium" on December 31.

Last year, a lot of people were hating on B.J. Thomas when his selection was announced. Did Sun Bowl officials do better this year or are the half time performers just getting more and more lame? (Lee Greenwood, David Archuleta, Village People, Baby Bash, in case you've forgotten who came before Thomas.) Let me know in the "leave a comment" box below.
