Barbie has gone South of the Border and a lot people are offended. That's because Mattel's Mexico Barbie edition of its iconic doll comes with a pink fiesta dress, a Chihuahua under her arm, and ... wait for it ... a passport. Critics in the Latin community are not pleased with what they say are typical Latino stereotypes -- festive, bright colored dress, the Chihuahua -- and especially not with the passport, given the whole immigration thing going on in this country.

To be fair, all the dolls in the Dolls of the World collection come with a passport and all of them, from China Barbie to Spain Barbie to France Barbie are dressed in what I would consider stereotypical garb.
