I-10 From Zaragoza To Hunter Drive Will Be Closed Thursday Night For Re-Striping

If you use I-10 on the east side, you need to know about a complete closure of part of the freeway in that area tonight (Thursday, April 14).

Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, I-10 West from Zaragoza Road to Hunter Drive will be closed. All lanes in that stretch of the freeway will be closed down for restriping. They will open back up 6 a.m. Friday morning.

There is a lot of construction around town, and TxDOT wants to remind drivers that road construction crews are out all day, and in this case, all night, keeping our roads safe. Be careful when you see a construction zone, not just for the road crews, but for you and your passengers, as well. TxDOT says slow down and move over when passing work crews. It will only add a few seconds or minutes to do so, and could save the life of a road construction crew member, or even your own life.
