How To Avoid El Paso Traffic And Where To Park For This Weekend’s Mexican Food Cookoff

We all know that El Paso is the Mexican food capital of the whole universe, but who has the best Mexican food in El Paso? We'll be finding that out this weekend at the Mexican Food Cookoff happening on Saturday at San Jacinto Plaza.

You'll be able to check out not only the food competitions, folklorico dancers, and the Battle of the Rock and Roll Mariachis, you'll also be able to stuff your face with delicious Mexican food from over 20 vendors. But as with all wonderful things, there is a little glitch.

El Paso traffic.

With all the construction happening around town, we took the time to find out the easiest way for you to get to downtown El Paso and San Jacinto Plaza:

If you are coming from the west side and taking the freeway, take the Downtown exit, take a right and go up Santa Fe, then take a left on Franklin and a right on Oregon. The best place to park coming from this side is the Mills Parking Garage.

If you are coming from the east side, take the downtown Mesa exit until you hit Mesa Street. Take a left on Mesa, and then park at the Chase Building. You can also go up to Oregon, take a left and park at the Mills Parking Garage.
